It truly is a joy to be pastor of this growing and thriving parish. Yes, it is time for us to build a permanent Church, a reflection of God's presence among us, an affirmation of our love for Christ, a beacon of hope in a divided world.
This is an investment in the present and the future, for our children and children's children. This is a unique and inspiring opportunity to step out into the deep waters of faith.
I invite you to join me in pledging a sacrificial gift to this campaign. This project requires the commitment of all of us.
Together, we can make the building of this Church a reality! Please join me on this adventure of faith. May our new Church give glory to God and draw everyone into God's eternal love.
Since our inception in 2008, our parish has wittnessed tremendous growth. Our Catholic footprint continues to expand through prayer, service, generosity, and outreach.
Led and inspired by the Holy Spirit, our journey to build a permanent Church has begun – a sacred space to celebrate the Sacraments, strengthen our faith, grow together as a community, and embrace our mission as Christ's disciples.
Our Mission is to live the transformative love of Christ in service of others.
Our Vision is to reveal God's eternal love and endless possibilities in Christ Jesus.
"There is something very special about being founding members of our parish family. When there was an opportunity to be more involved we took it. We are very thankful, blessed, and excited to be a part of building our permanent Church."
"Our parish family has allowed us to increase our faith dramatically. We are very involved with many ministries, including Finance Council and Faith Formation. We can't wait for the new Sanctuary and to see how it will continue to grow our faith."
"When we arrived in the Trinity area in 2022 from Seattle, we found this parish family and knew we were home. We are thrilled to help build the future of our Church – building on the shoulders of those before us."
Our goal is to raise as much of the $16 million as we can. If we fall short of that, we will be provided a low interest rate loan through the diocese for the remaining amount.
St. Peter the Apostle, along with all the parishes in our Diocese, have accounts within the Diocesan Savings and Loan. A separate account has been set up within the S&L to house all campaign payments. Funds will remain in the account and will be withdrawn as construction is completed. No funds can be withdrawn from this account unless requested by SPTA. The Diocese does not and will not use any of those funds for itself nor will the Diocese charge us for holding / transferring the money in this account.
We currently owe around $10,000. We are making extra payments every month so we can pay that debt off as soon as possible.
Groundbreaking will commence once we have sufficient funds, hopefully by the spring of 2026, or maybe sooner, and completed within fourteen months.
The current plans include a seating capacity of 900 parishioners.
There will not be a smaller chapel located in the new sanctuary. We've considered various factors in the design process and feel the current layout is most conducive to our needs.
Yes, extra parking is included in the cost.
Pledges allow families to consider a larger gift over time, rather than a one-time donation. Pledges are generally redeemed on a monthly or annual basis, which also helps us forecast cash flow for the construction.
By making an initial payment, we can start the construction phase sooner. If you are able, we sincerely appreciate a payment of 10% of your pledge.
YES! You determine when you want to start your pledge. Make a note on your Commitment Card and we will follow up with you.
No, a pledge to the campaign is a good-faith expression of your willingness to support this important project. If you need to make provisions to change your pledge, please contact the parish office. If something happens to you, this is NOT a financial obligation that will be deducted from your estate.
We are utilizing the Diocese’s online payment system as the processing fees are covered by some of the donations we make through the annual Catholic Ministry Appeal of the Diocese. Our bookkeeping department is working closely with the Diocese to ensure all funds are allocated to our campaign and are housed in our S&L account as referenced above.
We are currently in the quiet phase and have begun recruiting campaign chairs and steering committees. We will start a wider communications plan with more information in the bulletins, flocknote, and social media starting in August.
